Conceptual design for a medium-density, mixed-use, affordable housing development, providing 79 affordable residences, as well as, 2,900 s.f. of commercial/retail lease space, in the City of San Diego. Residents are provided with a large central open space courtyard with active and passive recreation areas, including a tot-lot. Parking is provided by ample surface parking and secured parking under the building podium structure. The three story residential structure on podium, over one story of underground parking incorporates interior accessed dwelling units, each with their own private patio/balcony. The street level commercial/retail spaces front along one of San Diego’s most popular and established urban thoroughfares and are provided with their own dedicated parking lot.
